Radio Radio is a thrilling journey back to 1964 when rock’n’roll took over the airwaves and dreams were as big as the music. At the heart of the story is Charlie, a shy 17-year-old from a small town who idolizes the legendary Wolfman Jack and others like him. Charlie wants to escape his small town and become a famous radio DJ, but there’s one problem: he’s too nervous to speak in class. Everything changes when he’s asked to do the school announcements and discovers his secret power—talking into a microphone.

Enter Dana, the intelligent and witty girl who steals his heart. When he finds out her father owns the local radio station, she helps Charlie land a job, and soon he’s playing tapes for late-night religious shows. But one night, disaster strikes when the tape machine breaks. Charlie is forced to go live on air. His nerves kick in, but with Dana on his mind, he channels his inner DJ, rocking the airwaves and becoming an instant hit!

Just as things start heating up for Charlie, Dana’s father discovers their relationship and tears them apart, convincing each other that their love will hold the other back from their dreams.
