Former Executive Assistant to the Vice-president of Bell Media Radio and Program Director of CHUM FM; liaising with Bell Media Radio stations across Canada, monitoring Bell Media initiatives.

Managed the Emerging Artist and Future Star programs; staff holidays and announcer schedules; booking travel for VP, maintaining VP’s schedule.

As Assistant Music Director, scheduled music logs for CHUM FM in RCS Selecter and MusicMaster. Also programmed radio stations 1050 CHUM Toronto and CKGM in Montreal.

Director & Dramaturg

Matt has worked as a director, actor, dramaturg, educator and theatre producer for nearly 20 years.

Former Associate Producer and then General Manager of multiple award-winning “Necessary Angel Theatre Company”, one of Canada’s foremost contemporary theatre groups. ••held administrative positions with The Company Theatre and Factory Theatre in Toronto and Theatre Company in Kitchener.

Directing credits include… Izad Etemadi, Let Me Explain We Could Be, Touch, Will You Be My Friend, The Amish Project, Andy Warhol presents, Valerie, Adam Bailey is on Fire. 

Matt holds a Masters in Theatre from the University of Toronto’s Graduate Centre for the Study of Drama and is a member of the Canadian Actors Equity Association.

Playwright

Playwright, actor and filmmaker.

His plays have been produced by over 100 theatres across Canada and internationally. 

His plays have been translated into French, Italian and Arabic.••Plays written include Falling A Wake, Pearl Gidley, Queen Milli of Galt, Rage Against Violence (with Dwight Storring) and Pocket Rocket (with Lea Daniel).••He has written several adaptations including Radio Leacock, Easter by August Strindberg, and Bottom and The Mechanicals.

Playwriting Awards, The Tom Hendry Comedy Award (short-listed twice), and KM Hunter Theater Award (short-listed).••Gary is a video designer and has created designs for CAFKA, UnSilent Night, The MT Space, Summerworks, NightShift, The Randolph Academy, Greenlight Arts, Canadian Arab Theatre, and Cactusbloem. 

Grant Writer & Creative Contributor

Over 40+ years’ experience in cultural program delivery, including management, facilitation, strategic planning, and new program development for provincial and national organizations. They include Magnetic North Theatre Festival, Atlantic Presenters Association, Atlantic Canada Circuses, Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology. 

Event Manager for Ontario Presents’ flagship conference, Ontario Contact for 15 years and now in the same position for Manitoba Arts Network.

A program development and production management specialist.

Cheryl served on the Board of Directors of JM Drama/The Registry Theatre for over 20 years.

And Cheryl has initiated several exciting collaborations including bringing together young dance students to choreograph and perform with live musicians.

Marketing & Promotions

Helped launch Canada’s first music video channel MuchMusic and its Quebec counterpart, MusiquePlus as marketing and promotion director and network spokesperson.  

Organized the Canadian missions and showcases at Morrisons (Cannes, France) for MIDEM - for 20 years.

Organizes CAAMA’s International Marketplace (IMP) at CMW (Canadian Music Week) where she conducted a series of one-on-one business-to-business (B2B) meetings.  Curated, pre-arranged Intl. meetings for Canadians looking to do business across the world.••Canadian representative for the international music business trade exchange, Music2Deal (the music industry version of LinkedIn) an online network of music industry.

A communications strategist, international export and trade specialist, and manager for Canadian folk icon VALDY (recipient of Order of Canada and actively touring with some 200 shows a year). 

Theatre Consultant

Ramona is a Playwright, Director and Producer who has written for film, television and theatre.  Her screenplays have been produced in Canada, the U. S. and Europe and have won various Film and Screenplay Awards.  

Her latest play titled, A Better Place, premiered at Factory Theatre to rave reviews. 

Other theatre writing credits include A Little Happiness (Edmonton International Fringe/Alumnae Theatre), You Have to Earn It (FireWorks), I’m Still Here (Central Alberta Theatre, New Ideas Festival, and The Arts & Letters Club), Babies (Central Alberta Theatre), and I’m Still Here, Drowning My Sorrow (The Heliconian Club).

Ramona produced and directed two Arts & Letters Spring Revues and Christmas Shows and has produced eight theatrical productions along with a festival of new works for the Alumnae Theatre Company.  

She’s a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and has served on the board of directors for the Alumnae where she also chairs or serves on various committees.

Story/Script Development

Winner of 300+ Awards (U.S. and Canada) for creative excellence Production Manager at 1050 CHUM and CHUM FM.

Creative director at CHUM, Telemedia, CFRB, That Commercial Place, John Candy FrostBack Productions (LA)••Produced the first Canadian documentary on the History of Rock and Roll and co-produced a 28-hour documentary on the Beatles, which was syndicated to radio stations worldwide, ABC Radio in Hollywood.

Co-producing “Ringo’s Yellow Submarine”, a 25-hour network radio special on The Beatles, hosted by Beatle Ringo Starr.

Senior Writer/Director at Pirate Radio & Television, Toronto, including producing two 3-hour radio specials on John Lennon.amona is a Playwright, Director and Producer who has written for film, television and theatre.  Her screenplays have been produced in Canada, the U. S. and Europe and have won various Film and Screenplay Awards.  

Story/Script Development

Jim McAleese is a stand-up comedian, writer, film and television actor, copywriter and news announcer. Graduated from Ryerson (MTU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

Headline comedian, working across Canada in clubs, campuses, corporate events. 

For the past 45 years Jim has been spinning hilarious yarns about his family, getting older, the joys of having three kids, and the years of frustration as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. It’s been said Jim’s material is so clean, you can bring your grandparents’ grandparents to the show.

Jim has worked with Alan Thicke, Smith and Smith, Marvin Hamlisch, Don Herron, Neil Sedaka, The Nylons, Air Supply, among others. 

For the past 13 years Jim has also taught stand-up at Second City in Toronto. Thanks to Jim’s expertise and guidance, he has worked with more than 400 former students.
